There are a lot of artificial intelligence startups and businesses popping up, and for good reason. The uses for artificial intelligence are going through the roof and any company that can find quicker or better ways of implementing AI and deep learning has a chance to be successful. Skymind is one such company and their latest funding round of $3 million shows that investors have faith in their vision. Chinese web company Tencent Holdings LTD. and Y Combinator led the round, joining the likes of Lookout Security Inc. and lead vocalist of Muse, Matthew Bellamy. The money will be going towards their open source project, Deeplearning4j and their Intelligence Layer.
