So I’m researching fiber optics companies which means every three seconds I’m googling “wavelength selective switch”, and then googling some more because nowadays Wikipedia seems to be written by and for technical specialists, and eventually I come across a source that says something like: “a variable color filter.” Different “colors” of light are shot by lasers down hair-thin threads of glass.
