YOUTH OF THE MONTH: Whitney Mottishaw is the Chippewa Falls Optimist Club’s “Youth of the Month.” Mottishaw is a senior at Chippewa Falls High School and the daughter of Pamela and David Miller.  Mottishaw is active in Color Guard, forensics, speech and debate. She is in the top 5 percent of her class and a member of the robotics team.  Mottishaw also helps with the United Way, Parents4Learning and the Chippewa Valley Humane Association.  Her future plans include attending the University of Washington to pursue a degree in aerospace engineering. • • • SCHOLARSHIP: Carrie Kemmet, a Memorial High School junior, has been awarded a National Security Language Initiative for Youth Scholarship for 2016-17. She will study Chinese in China for the summer. Kemmet is one of about 600 students…
