Artificial intelligence fires the human imagination. Tales of man-made intelligence are peppered throughout literature and cinema history, from Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein to the earliest science fiction movies. People are fascinated by the idea of creating intelligence, of engineering the very essence of what it is to be human. So is it here? Are we living in the age of AI? Many would argue that we are.
