Big data and robotics: A long history together

Big data is a big deal today. Even small companies are seeing the benefits of gathering and analyzing the staggering amounts of information that are streaming in from all kinds of online sources. Robotics was always about data, says the director of Auton Lab at Carnegie Mellon University.
