Boeing Vancouver to open new laboratory to develop software solutions for airlines

15 August 2016 Boeing Vancouver is set to open a new laboratory to develop data analytics-driven software solutions. Located in downtown Vancouver, British Columbia (BC), Canada, the new Vancouver Labs will supplement Boeing’s facilities in Richmond, BC, and are designed as an open concept space to increase collaboration and creativity among multi-disciplined teams with skills in UI/UX design, data science, consulting, and Agile software-development. The Richmond facility currently employs more than 200 software engineers and data scientists. “The expansion represents a natural extension of Boeing Vancouver’s analytics, software development and professional consulting work.” Once completed, the new Vancouver Labs will develop solutions to help airlines and other aircraft operators to increase their efficiencies and reduce business costs.
