Brain Maps to be Prepared for Utilization in AI Development
The Ministry of Science, ICT & Future Planning released a new brain science development strategy on May 30.According to it, the South Korean government is planning to invest 34 billion won (US$29.56 million) for 10 years to come in order to draw up super high resolution brain maps and link them to artificial intelligence development. The purpose of the plan is to enhance the level of South Korea’s brain science technology from 74% to 90% of those of global leaders between this year and 2023 while coming up with at least 10 original research outcomes within seven years.
