Almost every single new device and service will contain artificial intelligence (AI) by 2020, as tech firms rush to fulfill demand for smarter products. The popularity of AI-powered devices like the Amazon Echo and Google Home has kickstarted a renewed interest in the technology, which is now regarded as the next gold rush, according to analysts from research firm Gartner. AI is set to revolutionise the future workplace and face of the economy, as human jobs will be aided and in some cases replaced entirely by increasingly-intelligent machines.
