Cloud and analytics take the stage at SAS Institute’s Las Vegas conference

Contrary to what we may hear from hype-mongers, analytics isn’t new. Just ask Dr. Jim Goodnight, who co-founded analytics giant SAS Institute forty years ago. But what is new is the approach. From being something akin to a black art, over the past couple of years analytics has been making a move into the mainstream. Many companies in many industries are touting the addition of analytics of some sort to their products. And that has prompted SAS to expand its audience and make the technology more accessible.
