Computex 2016: Nvidia promotes Pascal GPUs Monica Chen, Taipei; Joseph Tsai, DIGITIMES [Monday 30 May 2016] Nvidia CEO Jen-Hsun Huang, at the company’s pre-Computex 2016 press conference on May 30, talked about its latest Pascal-based GPUs, which have been broadly adopted in applications including datacenters, car-use electronics and deep-learning platforms. He also talked about Nvidia’s partnerships with Taiwan players and he disclosed that its Pascal GPUs continue to use Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company’s (TSMC) 16nm FinFET manufacturing process with enhanced performance than previous-generation products. Huang noted that the next-generation servers built by Nvidia’s Tesla P100 GPUs are able to compete against servers that are equipped with several hundreds of CPUs.
