‘Data Science and Sports’ draws many visitors

On Thursday 7 April the ‘Data Science and Sports’ seminar was held. This seminar was a joint initiative by Delft Data Science (DDS), Leiden Centre of Data Science (LCDS) and Delft’s Sports Engineering Institute. More than 200 visitors came to our faculty to attend the seminar. Data and sport Data and sport make for an exciting combination. Does performance improve when available data are used? Will new forms of data also lead to new insights into sporting performance? How can we visualise the data measured for optimal use? Leiden University, LCDS and Delta wrote an article on the seminar.
