Deep Learning Technology to Greatly Influence Automotive Breakthroughs
AI, particularly deep learning technology, is greatly influencing changes within the automotive industry, and vehicle OEMs, Tier1 suppliers, internet and IT-oriented companies, and silicon vendors are competing to create, use, or buy into the technology, according to a report by ABI research. Dominique Bonte, VP and GM of ABI Research, said that there is so much focus on AI because those competing for it as wells as for deep learning technology, know the impact both will have on automation, advanced user interfaces, and HMI. “Apple recently poaching NVIDIA’s deep learning expert is just one example of the AI war heating up,” Bonte said.
