Tesla CEO Elon Musk, at an event this week with the bipartisan National Governors Association, warned about the coming economic disruptions that automation and artificial intelligence will cause. He also sounded the alarm about the threat AI could pose to human life on Earth.Interviewing Musk is Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval, from a state that recently signed a tax incentive deal with Tesla to build a mostly-automated electric car engine “gigafactory” in the desert near Reno.As automation continues to change the way people live, threats are becoming more complicated than a ‘Skynet’ or ‘Cylon’ problem, but Musk warned that until “until people see, like, robots going down the street killing people, they don’t know how to react [to artificial intelligence], because it seems so ethereal.”But is very real, at least it will be soon, he explained. “When I say everything, the robots will do everything.
