Google’s biggest event of the year is about to start. It’s being at the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, CA, just down the road from Google’s campus. The company is expected to make a bevy of announcements today, touching everything from AI to VR. This is Sundar Pichai’s first I/O event as Google CEO. Updates Android Wear 2.0 Google is calling this its biggest Android Wear platform update yet. Android Wear 2.0 will add better features for watch faces, messaging, and fitness. Watch faces will be more customizable. It’s adding smart replies for messaging, better handwriting recognition, and a new keyboard powered by machine learning, as well as automatic activity recognition and new ways for music to work with the watch.
