GETTY Facebook has made a big error in its latest move to shake up its news feedFacebook has suffered an embarrassing setback in its efforts to ensure users get the most important news directly to their homepage. Users were shocked to see a number of unusual stories appearing in their Trending section after the social media site brought in an artificial intelligence system which promptly backfired. Trending, which first appeared in 2014, helps connect Facebook users with new and breaking stories around the world, showing links to stories or hashtags it thinks are relevant based on the amount of people sharing or publishing the news.
