Funded By Elon Musk and Others, OpenAI Non-Profit Research Company Debuts
A new artificial intelligence company is born. It is non-profit in structure, and named OpenAI. The ultimate objective of the founders is to develop digital intelligence into something that would be of utmost benefits to all mankind in all aspects of life. The OpenAI team believes artificial intelligence “should be an extension of individual human wills” and promoting liberty in all forms to as many as would tap into its potentials. The team is not deceived about the uncertainties involved in the tasks ahead, but are convinced that the goal is worthwhile and the structures they have put on the ground is good enough to make everything work out.
