GETTY China is a self-proclaimed world leader in AI technologyA senior designer from China’s Aerospace and Industry Corp revealed the company was developing AI to revolutionise the way wars are fought in the future. Wang Changqing said: “We plan to adopt a ‘plug and play’ approach in the development of new cruise missiles, which will enable our military commanders to tailor-make missiles in accordance with combat conditions and their specific requirements.” He said the missiles would be equipped with a high level of automation, similar to the technology that allows a drone to fly, gather intelligence and lock onto a target with little human intervention.
