There is a scientific reason why you shiver and get chills on your body when your favorite song starts playing, says an assistant professor of psychology and neuroscience at Wesleyan University, Psyche Loui. This deliciously weird experience is known as musical “skin orgasm”. It’s an emotional response that’s so strong and it causes a physical reaction.
