Intel Acquires Indian American-led San Diego-based Firm Nervana Systems

San Diego, Calif.-based deep learning startup Nervana Systems, headed by a triumvirate of Indian Americans, has been acquired by Intel. While the chip giant did not disclose the cost of the acquisition, several reports have indicated the price exceeded $400 million. Nervana Systems is a 48-person company founded by Naveen Rao, Arjun Bansal and Amir Khosrowshaki in 2014.
