Once upon a time there was a boy who hated math. Ryan Golden hated the “procedurality” of it, the “roteness.” But then, two inspiring high school teachers (physics and math) opened his eyes to the intrigue of more than one way to solve problems-—and the sheer predictive power of math. So Golden decided to major in math in college. Well, not just math but biology too, and a minor in computer programming, like icing on the cake.
