Lester Mackey featured in Data Science Distinguished Speaker Series Apr 15 2016 Source:  datascience.stanford.edu Data Science @ Stanford will welcome another member of the Statistics faculty when Lester Mackey discusses the Stanford working group “Statistics for Social Good” on Wednesday, April 20th. The monthly presentations in this series include leaders from academia, industry, and government who showcase the diversity in applications of the rapidly emerging field of data science, as well as the evolution of the foundations of data science. Registration is encouraged — and the talks are frequently oversubscribed — but the video of Lester’s appearance will be made available on their site to the expanding virtual community of data science scholars and practitioners.
