Microsoft Corporation’s Project Malmo Now Public on Minecraft

Microsoft Corporation has open-sourced Malmo, its Minecraft-themed artificial intelligence tool. Anyone can now set their AI creations free in Redmond’s sandbox video game. The AI tool uses Minecraft to make the very computers the game is played on more intelligent. Microsoft Corporation’s Project Malmo Now Public on Minecraft PC Magazine explained that Minecraft represents an ideal environment for AI research, and it is a big training ground for Redmond’s Project Malmo platform. Microsoft Corporation first made the system available to researchers in March under the name AIX, CDA News reported. The code is now available to all under an open-source license on the web-based Git repository hosting service Github.
