Microsoft lays down gauntlet to rivals with cloud-based AI and security blitz

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella will take to the stage today at the Ignite Conference in order to lay out his vision for a cloud-driven, artificially intelligent future. AP   Technology giant Microsoft will add new elements of artificial intelligence capabilities to its business software, enhance personal assistant app Cortana and beef up its cyber security credentials as it seeks to stand out from other cloud-based tech companies vying for enterprise business.  The company has also pledged to continue a more open approach to working with external companies, such as ridesharing service Uber, to integrate its services into new intelligent computing services.
