‘Model citizen’ of UNO spotted potential and inspired many to fulfill it
Shelton Hendricks fell in love with science as a child and spent his life sharing that passion by inspiring students and faculty. Hendricks died Monday at age 75 after battling metastasized melanoma for nearly two years. He began teaching at the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 1969 as an assistant professor of psychology and later became a professor of psychology. He also worked at the University of Nebraska Medical Center as a professor of psychiatry.
