NIJ Crime Forecasting Challenge – help improve policing and public safety with data science!

The nation needs brilliant, creative minds to lead the next generation of crime forecasting. Through a free and open competition, the National Institute of Justice (NIJ) is challenging scientists across all fields to drive innovation in place-based crime forecasting. NIJ will provide contestants with real-time datasets from one police jurisdiction. Using this data, contestants will develop place-based crime forecasts for that jurisdiction, which will be judged on effectiveness and efficiency.
