Nvidia GTC 2016 shows artificial intelligence innovations Monica Chen, Taipei; Joseph Tsai, DIGITIMES [Monday 26 September 2016] Nvidia’s GPU Technology Conference (GTC) 2016 opened on September 21 in Taiwan, with over 2,000 visitors’ participating on the first day. During the conference, Nvidia CEO Jen-Hsun Huang gave a keynote, talking about GPU technology’s capability and its role in artificial intelligent applications. Nvidia’s new Pascal-based Tesla P4 and P40 GPUs, which are able to detect and sense images, texts and voices, and feature improved performance and response time, will begin shipping in November and October, respectively. Nvidia also has tight partnerships with Taiwan-based ODMs and Quanta Computer is a special partner of Nvidia in deep-learning GPU development.
