On the mind: Concordia adds neuroscience major at students’ request

MOORHEAD — Molly Larson has been fascinated by the brain since middle school. “It’s the basis of so much other anatomy and physiology, so much of everyone’s life,” the 22-year-old Concordia College senior recently said. “Without your brain, you can’t be you.” Now, Larson can get a degree in her passion. After eight years of having a minor, Concordia is introducing a neuroscience major, much to the relief of students like Larson. “The students that we have had in the minor have been asking for years when we’re going to have a major,” program director Krys Strand said with a laugh.
