PhD positions at Jülich: Computational Biomedicine in Neuroscience

The Institute of Computational Biomedicine IAS-5/INM-9 at the Jülich Research Center (http://www.fz-juelich.de/ias/ias-5/EN) uses and develops high performance computing-based multiscale simulations to investigate key molecular events for neuronal function and dysfunction. We are currently searching qualified PhD students with a master in physics, chemistry, applied mathematics or computer science, who will investigate: ligands binding to neuroreceptors development/coding of hybrid molecular mechanics/coarse grain models ligands binding to non-coding RNA modeling of chemical sensory perception GPCR activation mechanisms  Experience with UNIX-like operating systems and programming along with a good knowledge of the English language are required. We offer a position in a creative and international environment with the opportunity to work in a unique interdisciplinary team. The projects will be carried out in close collaborations with experimental labs. Payment of the PhD fellow…
