Postdoctoral Position in Behavioral Neuroscience and Neuroimaging

The Research Institute on Addictions’ NIAAA-funded postdoctoral training program is seeking candidates interested in the neural basis of alcohol abuse, addiction and reward deficiency syndrome in various animal models.  Within the Behavioral Neuropharmacology and Neuroimaging Laboratory on Addictions, the fellow will receive multi-disciplinary training, including (but are not limited to) behavioral assessments, neuroimaging, pharmacological modeling and genetics.  In addition, the training will include experience with conducting hands-on experiments, neuroimaging acquisition and analysis, and lab management. The fellow will have the opportunity to participate actively in ongoing research and grant submissions, pilot projects, manuscript preparation, publications and scientific presentations using new and existing datasets.  Established in 1970, RIA (http://www.buffalo.edu/ria.html) has a staff of over 160 persons working on approximately 40 separate research projects, mostly funded by the National Institutes of Health. …
