Postdoctoral Position in Cognitive Neuroscience of Locus Coeruleus
A postdoc position is available to study the role of noradrenergic locus coeruleus and cortical neurons in decision, attention and behavioral utility using multi-site unit recordings in behaving rats. Join a lab that is nationally recognized for research into cognitive functions of noradrenergic and other modulatory brain systems. Interdisciplinary studies combining neurophysiology with neuroanatomy, viral neurotransduction, DREADD or optogenetic manipulations, or behavioral pharmacology experiments are also possible. Applicants must have a strong academic record of independent research with a PhD or MD degree. Expertise with behaving rats or with in vivo single unit neurophysiology is preferred.
