Postdoctoral researcher in Computer Vision and Machine Learning University of Amsterdam

The Informatics Institute at the University of Amsterdam invites applications for a fully funded PPostdoctoral researcher position in Computer Vision (CV) and Machine Learning (ML). The Institute hosts several internationally recognized staff in these domains; the openings are within the Amsterdam Machine Learning Lab and within the research group of Prof. Dariu Gavrila. They deal with pedestrian/ cyclist safety for highly automated vehicles and are part of corresponding national and EU projects involving collaborations with TNO, TU Delft/Eindhoven and Daimler, among others. The intended research addresses problems within the spectrum of vision-based object detection, pose estimation, motion modeling, tracking, and intent recognition. A key question is how to learn object appearance, dynamics and behaviors from visual data.
