Robots: Now Capable of Love

In 2013, Spike Jonze released his film Her, starring Joaquin Phoenix and Scarlet Johansson. Phoenix’s character Theodore, falls in love with the personality of an operating system, named “Samantha,” who is played by Scarlett Johannsson. The movie explores the possibility of artificial intelligence and to what extent its relationship to humans may reach. In recent years, robots capable of this emotional depth are not only being created, they’re being created to resemble humans.  Of course, the movements are unnatural and detectable, but the idea is still so unbelievable- science fiction slowly becoming reality.
