Salesforce Has Acquired MinHash, Creators Of The AILA Virtual Marketing Assistant

Salesforce has made another acquisition to build out its big-data analytics for marketers. TechCrunch has learned and confirmed with Salesforce that it has acquired MinHash, a young startup based in Palo Alto co-founded by two data science engineers formerly with eBay and Avaya.MinHash had developed an AI platform as well as a “personal assistant” called AILA to crawl to and from the many corners of the Internet, pull out relevant trends for marketers, and help them construct campaigns around those trends. Financial terms of the deal are not being disclosed. MinHash was a young company that had not raised more than a seed round — with its small group of investors including Raymie Stata, the ex-CTO of Yahoo, and Amit and Arihant Patni.
