DATA SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING CHANGE THE WAY RESEARCH IS DONE Georgia Tech is using data science and engineering to help understand and improve the world around us. The ability to extract critical information from vast data sets is helping create new research directions in areas as diverse as drug discovery and application, design and development of new materials, prognostics for complex equipment, and analysis of genetic information.
