Stanford Healthcare unveils new neuroscience center, integrating care: 5 notes

Stanford (Calif.) Healthcare held a ribbon-butting ceremony for its new Stanford Neuroscience Health Center in Palo Alto, Calif. Here are five notes: 1. Neurosurgeons, neurologists and interventional neuroradiologists from 21 neuroscience subspecialties will offer care at the new center. 2. The integrated approach is designed to facilitate more accurate diagnoses, organize care and improve outcomes. 3. The center has an Autonomic Lab with a clinical care thermoregulatory sweat lab as well as an outdoor mobility garden and wellness center for restorative care. 4. A NIH Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center will facilitate interdisciplinary research on Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases. 5. The center is five stories and 92,000 square feet.
