Stanford Neuroscience Health Center Readies For January 2016 Opening

Stanford Health Care held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the completion of its new Stanford Neuroscience Health Center in Palo Alto, Calif., which is scheduled to open for patient care in January 2016.The five-story, 92,000-square-foot center houses multiple specialists and subspecialties, advanced diagnostic techniques, clinical trials, an Autonomic Lab with a clinical care thermoregulatory sweat lab, and the first dedicated clinical PET/MRI. Supportive services include an outdoor mobility garden and a wellness center for restorative patient classes such as yoga and dance, as well as educational lectures. The building also includes space for an established NIH Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center. The Neuroscience Health Center was designed by architect TEF Design (San Francisco) and constructed by Cahill Contractors (San Francisco).
