Telefonica buys Spanish big data consultancy Synergic
Telefonica has announced its acquisition of Spanish big data consultancy Synergic Partners for an undisclosed figure. Synergic, with offices in Madrid and Barcelona, will continue to operate its portfolio of clients independently, managed by its founding partners, said Telefonica, which described the consultancy as one of the top 20 companies in the world in the Big Data, Data Science and Data Engineering field. The company will form part of Telefonica’s global BI&BD (Business Intelligence & Big Data) department, helping to develop a number of advanced data analysis projects in Spain and the rest of Europe and Latin America.
