The “SP” System Beats AI Alternatives

The SP theory of intelligence has advantages over several AI-related alternatives according to a new paper by Dr Gerry Wolff of CognitionResearch.org. The SP theory, which has been under development for several years, is realized in the form of a computer model. From that computer model the researchers Dr Wolff and Dr Vasile Palade (of Coventry University) aim to develop a powerful SP machine, driven by an existing supercomputer. The SP system is different from other AI systems because it simplifies and integrates ideas across an exceptionally broad canvass including artificial intelligence, mainstream computing, mathematics, and human thinking and perceiving.
