Couple of bangers. “Musician” is pretty low on the list of jobs likely to be automated by artificial intelligence, but thanks to a piece of software created by the developers at Sony it’s probably just risen a few places. The software, named Flow Machine, has been used to create two new pop songs. It works by analysing over 13,000 lead sheets from different genres around the world, using the information to churn out its own melodies once you select your desired style of music.
