In 2016 we are seeing bots having real-time smartphone conversations, cars starting to drive themselves and computer systems beginning to learn new things without human interactions. Now Sony CSL Research Laboratory has shared the first ever pop song written by artificial intelligence. The software known as Flow Machines uses big data for sheet music along with a style prompt from a human to create the harmony and melody. The French composer Benoît Carré then proceeded to produce, mix and write the lyrics to the artificial intelligence song “Daddy’s Car.” Stream the first A.I. composed song below.
