Toyota To Invest $1B In AI Research In Silicon Valley As Autonomous Car Tech According to a release, Toyota will now build two new research facilities close to Stanford and MIT’s campuses with Pratt as CEO overviewing the new company as he plans to create a group of around 200 employees – “leading researchers and engineers”. Toyota will establish a new research and development facility in California’s Silicon Valley at the cost of $1 billion over five years. A second facility will be located near the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
