Using Artificial Intelligence, Microsoft Pix Helps You Take the Perfect Photo

Microsoft believes its software can help you take a better photo on your iPhone. From the labs at Microsoft Research, a free iOS app called Pix is designed to take better photographs of people. Pix continuously takes photos while the camera app is open. It then uses an algorithm to choose the best shot from 10—the seven most recent before the camera button is pressed and the first three after. Microsoft believes the perfect photo usually happens a second before we actually manage to press the button. The app’s AI uses photos you never see taken to improve the shots you do take.
