White House Data Scientist: Even Slackers Can Make It To the Top

White House Chief Data Scientist DJ Patil started out as an underachieving high schooler who was bad at math, he revealed during a recent Q&A on answer crowdsourcing site Quora.  Patil, named chief data scientist last February, also told readers this week the government is increasingly interested in data; today, at least 25 top government leaders are focused on it fulltime.
