2017: Expect a stellar year for exits through M&As, IPOs for startup investors
HYDERABAD: The country’s startup ecosystem this year witnessed a total of 165 mergers and acquisitions (M&A), including the likes of Ibibo Group getting acquired by Make-MyTrip and Jabong being taken over by Flipkart’s Myntra, according to data by startup analytics firm Tracxn.This number, while a 20% increase from 2015, seems like a small percentage when compared to the 56% increase from 2014 to 2015, as per data provided by software product think tank iSPIRT.
