Apple Inc. Culture Of Secrecy Limits Artificial Intelligence Progress

Bloomberg reports that Apple Inc.’s (NASDAQ:AAPL) limitations to sharing information about artificial intelligence (AI) may be the reason that the company lags behind in that department. Last year, the Neural Information Processing Systems conference held in Montreal, had companies such as Google, Microsoft and IBM, presenting their findings on machine learning and how to train computers to work faster. However, Apple was conspicuous by its absence and it has been like that for the past couple of years. Bloomberg also reports that for the conference this year, Baidu and Facebook are also expected to join in but Apple still isn’t.
