Technology expert Richard Frisch will present Artificial Intelligence, Its Promise and Perils at Founders Hall on Friday, Oct. 30, at 3 p.m. According to Frisch, our world is suffused with artificial intelligence (AI). “It helps choose the books we buy, the movies we see and even who we date,” said Frisch. “AI puts the ‘smart’ in our smartphones and will soon drive our cars. AI makes most of the trades on Wall Street and controls vital energy, water and transportation infrastructure.” But he noted that artificial intelligence has a dark side, which he calls more powerful and alien than we can imagine.
