Assistant Professor in Systems or Machine Learning

The School of Computer Science at Carleton University invites applications from qualified candidates for one or more tenure-track appointments in Computer Science at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning July 1, 2017. Candidates for this position should have as an area of specialization either Machine Learning or Systems. For Systems, we are specifically interested in Operating Systems, Distributed Systems or Networks; a fit with the School’s Security group would be considered an asset. The School has 30 full-time faculty members and particular research strengths in bioinformatics, computational geometry, computer security, big data analytics, databases and information systems, graphics, HCI, high-performance computing, and networks and distributed computing. The School offers a Bachelor of Computer Science degree and graduate programs at the Masters and Ph.D. level.
