Clydesdale and Yorkshire develops artificial intelligence app
Rising demand for mobile banking and pressure to cut costs have spurred Clydesdale and Yorkshire to launch a digital service using artificial intelligence to help customers manage their spending and saving. The banking group, which recently listed on the London stock market, has developed a digital service called “B” with the aim of giving customers more control over their money. The new app, which has been designed by thousands of customers over the past two years, draws parallels with mobile-based Atom Bank and Tandem. It is part of a shift towards digital-only banks that proactively help customers manage their spending, saving and borrowing.
