Getting Started with Intel® Machine Learning Scaling Library
Introduction Intel® Machine Learning Scaling Library (Intel® MLSL) is a library providing an efficient implementation of communication patterns used in deep learning. It is intended for deep learning framework developers, who would like to benefit from scalability in their projects. Some of the Intel MLSL features include: Built on top of MPI, allows for use of other communication libraries Optimized to drive scalability of communication patterns Works across various interconnects: Intel® Omni-Path Architecture, InfiniBand*, and Ethernet Common API to support deep learning frameworks (Caffe*, Theano*, Torch*, etc.) Installation Downloading Intel® MLSL Package Go to https://github.com/01org/MLSL/releases and download: intel-mlsl-devel-64-<version>.<update>-<package>.x86_64.rpm for root installation, or l_mlsl_p_<version>.<update>-<package>.tgz for user installation.
