The superhuman network can figure out the location of almost any photo using only the pixels it contains Since PlaNet is an artificial neural network, it can learn. So the team taught the network how to identify a photograph’s location on the grid. Humans are generally good at recognizing a famous building or landmark from an image like Eiffel Tower, leaning tower of Pisa or Roman Colosseum but the job becomes extremely difficult if the image does not contain a monument or any memorable place or just have an indoor image without clues or any other detail.
